what to bring

Camp Lodestar’s facilities are either dorm style with attached bathrooms or tent cabins with bathrooms in a separate building.

Please limit the amount of food you bring to camp. Food is not allowed in cabins!

 

  1. Rubber slippers for the shower
  2. Sleeping bag and pillow
  3. Bath towels and toiletries
  4. Casual clothing (a few extra sets)
  5. Warm jacket and./or sweatshirt for evenings
  6. Athletic shoes
  7. Swimsuit for the pool
  8. Flashlight
  9. Insect Repellent
  10. Bible
  11. Paper / stationery and pen(s)
  12. As always, an open heart and mind

Other optional items may include

  • Musical instruments
  • Camera
  • Spending money for camp store (soda and snacks)

Please do not bring mp3 players, cell phones or pagers

Only pack what you can carry as each camper is responsible for managing their own luggage.  While at camp we encourage a sense of community and fellowship. Please leave CD and mp3 players, cell phones and pagers at home. 

Any food or candy brought to camp will be collected and stored in the camp dining hall. Campers can access their snacks from wake-up to 10 p.m. daily.  Please consider carefully any valuables you might bring.  We will do our best to recover any lost or stolen articles, however, United Methodist Asian American
Summer Camp and its governing body cannot be held liable for items or their replacement.
