It’s that time of year again… to begin counselor training for Asian Camp! Being a counselor for high school and college-aged youth is a big responsibility. We are seeking applicants who will be committed to the Methodist ministries and who can devote themselves to making this year’s Asian Camp experience the best that it can be! We recommend and encourage counselors to be an active participant at a local United Methodist church. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Attending or participating in worship regularly
• Assisting with youth
• Participate in a fellowship group or any extended ministry of your local church

The application is a means for the Design Team to assess the gifts of the counseling applicants. We are redesigning the training structure this year and are hoping that everyone who applies will be flexible with us as we are going to have some kinks in the system before it is flawless. The will be two overnight retreats, one in March to kick off the training and introduce the staff and the second will be in June to complete the training curriculum. In between we will be meeting virtually/digitally through a number of different means. These will be every other week on Saturday mornings from 9:00-10:30am.
